Task
Treatment of river water from the White Elster for the production of process water.
Design data
Waste water volume:
- max. 220 m³/h
Target parameters:
- Suitable for process water
Solution & implementation
In order to efficiently produce the required amount of process water, the river water first undergoes a comprehensive purification process in our advanced ALMA BHU LHPS reactor system (more about the product). In this first step, the dissolved and undissolved substances are precipitated and flocculated from the river water.
After the successful separation of these flocculated wastewater constituents, further treatment takes place to eliminate the remaining organic load in the wastewater. This is where our highly effective ALMA BHU BAF biofiltration system comes into play.
In the final treatment step, we subject the purified wastewater to reverse osmosis treatment. The preceding biofiltration minimizes the occurrence of biofouling on the membranes, which in turn reduces operating costs and ensures the longevity of the reverse osmosis system.
